The Beagle USB 5.000 v2 Standard is the most affordable USB 3.0 model and one of the most advanced USB3.0 protocol analyzers available. Customizable options allow the analyzer to be configured to meet today's specific needs. As requirements grow, the appropriate options can be upgraded in the field. Free Data Center software and cross-platform support for Windows, Linux and MAC OS X make the Beagle USB 5.000 v2 analyzer an easy-to-use and versatile tool for any engineer working with USB2.0 and USB3.0.

Real-time interactive performance

Monitor USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 non-intrusively and analyze data interactively as it is captured on the bus. Avoid engineering bottlenecks caused by waiting for captured data to download and analyze. Developers can repeatedly disconnect and reconnect or iteratively test a device and immediately see the resulting USB traffic, saving time and reducing frustration. There is no need to reset the analyzer, restart an acquisition, and wait for all data to download and analyze over and over again.

Fast data analysis

Quickly filter and search for interesting data while the acquisition is still running. Use the real-time statistics feature of the Data Center software to view packets and errors on the bus.

Unlimited recording sizes

All Beagle USB 5000 models feature Infinite Capture, our solution that allows users to capture more data than is stored in their built-in buffer. Data is continuously streamed from the standard 4GB buffer to the analysis PC, allowing the total capture size to far exceed the hardware buffer memory. Since the majority of USB traffic occurs in bursts, the Ultimate model analyzer can quickly catch up with USB analysis traffic via its standard USB 3.0 downlink and free up buffer memory for more data.

Real-time decoding at USB class level with Data Center software

USB data is easier to understand with real-time class-level decoding. Class-level decoding is automatic - you don't have to wait for the capture to download and decoding to be applied. The Data Center software supports multiple USB classes. For USB classes not included in this list, developers can save USB configurations to apply decoding after acquisition.

Match/Action Triggering and Filtering

Triggering and filtering matches/actions allows developers to trigger the capture, filter data, or set external triggers by matching data patterns, packet types, error types, and more. Create flexible state-based event triggers with up to 8 independent states and 6 matches per state for USB 2.0 captures. Advanced multi-state triggers and filters for USB 3.0 captures are available with the USB 3.0 Advanced State-Based Matching option.

Multi-Analyzer-Synchronisation

Applications may require multiple analyzers to monitor data transfers throughout the system. With the advanced synchronization feature, engineers can create multi-analyzer scenarios to measure latency throughout the system with unprecedented accuracy.

SuperSpeed-Downlink

Enable longer recordings with USB 3.0 downlink. Working with Total Phase's real-time display, USB 3.0 data is captured and displayed much faster. There is no waiting time for data to download; data is displayed on the screen immediately.

Digital I/O for synchronization

Trigger output to an oscilloscope or logic analyzer and get an even better understanding of your system. The Beagle USB 5000 v2 SuperSpeed Protocol Analyzer Ultimate provides dedicated USB 3.0 input and output for synchronization with external devices. The Beagle USB 5000 v2 Analyzer Ultimate also provides four digital inputs and four digital outputs for USB 2.0.

Difference Beagle 5000 USB 3.0 Standard and Beagle 5000 USB 3.0 Ultimate

The Beagle 5.000 Ultimate is the final upgrade level.  The Beagle 5.000 Standard can be upgraded at any time at a later date with the following options:

    • Upgrade to 4GB memory - This allows a larger amount of data to be cached, resulting in faster data analysis.
    • Simultaneous USB2.0 and USB3.0 data recording option.
    • SuperSpeed Downlink Option - Allows longer and faster recordings. This option works in conjunction with the real-time display feature of the Data Center software.
    • USB 3.0 Advanced State-Based Matching Option - More convenience in debugging with match/action triggers
    • Multi Analyzer Synchronization Option - Other devices can be synchronized with the protocol analyzer.
