RS08 Adapter | ML-MLFX-RS08-ADPT

Multilink Universal Rev. E or later requires an adapter to communicate with NXP's RS08 devices.

The Multilink Universal FX has the ability to communicate with RS08 devices without this adapter.

The RS08 connection otherwise remains the same and uses the same 6-pin pinout as described in the Multilink Universal Technical Summary documentation.

As shown in the image above, the RS08 adapter (part number ML-MLFX-RS08-ADPT) connects to the 16-pin header (Port E) of the Multink Universal. The adapter then provides a 6-pin header to connect to the target via a ribbon cable.

The part number and revision of the Multilink can be found on the label on the bottom of the Multilnk.

Note that PEmicro anticipates that the upcoming revision of the high-speed Multilink Universal FX will require the same adapter.
