The USB Development & Debug Kit is the optimal solution to develop, debug and test USB transmissions, USB designs and connections. Depending on the selection, the USB Kit enables the acquisition, decoding and logging of USB data traffic, current / voltage values (VBus), the acquisition of PD data traffic. In addition, the communication speed, data integrity and power supply capability of USB ports can be tested and the power consumption of a USB device can be determined.

Overview of USB test and development tools 




Beagle USB 12 Analyzer

The Beagle USB 12 Protocol Analyzer is a distortion-free full/low speed USB protocol analyzer. Developers can monitor the data traffic on the bus with a bit-level timing information resolution of 21 ns. The USB monitoring speed is up to 12 Mpts, which is sufficient to monitor USB 1.1 (full speed) connections. Furthermore, as for all Beagle Protocol Analyzers, complex APIs are available.



Beagle 5000 - Standard

The Beagle 5000 Protocol Analyzer has a monitoring speed of up to 5 Gbit/s , which means that all USB connections from USB 1.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 can be monitored. The acquisition rate is up to 2 ns for USB 3.0 and 16.7 ns for USB 2.0. With the Protocol Analyzer, large amounts of data can be stored in the 2 GB internal memory and analyzed on the PC using the free Data Center software.



Beagle 5000 - Ultimate

The Ultimate Edition of the SuperSpeed Beagle 5000 has 4GB of internal memory compared to the standard version (2GB standard version), additional trigger capabilities with complex dependencies with up to 8 states, and a USB 3 Gen 2 downlink that enables real-time data analysis. In addition, the device allows simultaneous acquisition of USB 2.0 & USB 3.0 transfers. 




Beagle USB 480 Protocol Analyzer

The Beagle USB 480 Protocol Analyzer is a high-speed, distortion-free bus monitor. Developers can monitor the data traffic on the USB bus, this in real time with a packet level time resolution of 16.67 ns. The maximum monitoring speed is 480 Mpts (USB 2.0). Key features include class-level USB decoding and detection of hardware-based bus events and unexpected signals. 



Beagle USB 480 Power Analyzer

The Beagle USB 480 Power Analyzer has the same features as the USB 480 Protocol Analyzer version (Blue) but adds the function to monitor the current & voltage at a sampling rate of 1 KHz on the VBus and correlate them with the USB 2.0 data packets. In addition, the Power version has 256 Mb of internal memory, 4 times the memory of the USB 480 Standard version (64Mb).



Beagle USB 480 Power Ultimate Analyzer

The Beagle USB 480 Power Ultimate Analyzer has the same features as the USB 480 Power edition but has additional advanced USB 2.0 trigger functions. The complex USB 2.0 matching system provides a state-based way to match specific packet types and data patterns in addition to specific events and also allows up to 8 states. Additionally, state changes can be triggered on the VBus.




USB PD Analyzer & VBus Monitor

By combining the USB Power Delivery Analyzer with the free Data Center™ software, you can log, monitor and decode power on the CC1 /CC2 pins (configuration channel) while using the USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 (up to Gen2) data line. In addition, the voltage & current on the VBus can be monitored at a sampling rate of 20 Hz (data correlation for PD data only).



USB Power Tester

Make sure that the voltage values remain within the specification under high load. The Power Delivery Tester PM125 checks if a USB port is able to deliver the specified maximum power without errors. The device is able to test power banks, USB power supplies and determine the power consumption of a USB device. In cooperation with the USB PD Analyzer, PD data can be decoded simultaneously. The Power Delivery Tester PM125 supports PPS and all Quickcharge specifications up to 4+.



Loopback & SOS Plug

With the USB loopback connector available for USB 2.0 & USB 3.0, you can measure the transfer speed (480 Mbit for USB 2.0 & 5Gbit for USB 3) as well as the voltage level. When used with the PM125, power and data integrity can be tested simultaneously on a USB device, and the specified current, voltage drop and data integrity can be tested on a USB Type-C cable. The USB short circuit tester helps to immediately detect faulty connections.
