TySOM-1 is a compact board containing medium size Xilinx Zynq-7000 All Programmable FPGA with dual-core ARM Cortex A9 and rich selection of peripherals to provide a complete and universal physical prototyping platform for a broad range of embedded designs and IoT applications.
As a single board computer it is equipped with 512 MB of RAM (DDR3) and Micro-SD card socket for application storage up to 32GB, USB and Gigabit Ethernet for communication and HDMI or LCD touch screen interfaces for display. Such configuration allows booting up embedded Linux Operating System or another Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and developing embedded software early in a fully equipped hardware environment.
The FPGA part of the Zynq-7000 module allows designing custom algorithm accelerators and coprocessors or integrate custom controllers for other on-board peripherals such as Accelerometer, CMOS Camera or broad range of of-the-shelf Digilent PMOD modules.
