TySOM-3A-ZU19EG is a compact SoC prototyping board with Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC device that offers 64-bit processor scalability and combines real-time control with soft and hard engines for SoC prototyping solutions, IP verification, graphics, video, packet processing and early software development. The main advantage of the Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ ZU19EG-FFVB1517 MPSoC over other Zynq MPSoC devices is that it contains the largest FPGA in the Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC family with over one million logic cells. It contains a quad-core ARM® Cortex-A53 platform running at up to 1.5 GHz. Combined with dual-core Cortex-R5 real-time processors, a Mali-400 MP2 graphics unit and 16nm FinFET+ programmable logic, the EG devices have the specialized processing elements required for next-generation wired and 5G wireless infrastructures, cloud computing and aerospace and defense applications.

Peripherals

TySOM-3A-ZU19EG is designed to provide flexibility in peripheral selection by leveraging all features of the Zynq UltraScale+ ZU19EG- FFVB1517 MPSoC chip. This prototyping board contains 8GB DDR4 memory for the programmable logic (PL) and also 8GB DDR4 SODIMM memory for the processing system (PS). This board contains 2Gb NAND memory and supports up to 32GB SSD storage on a micro SD card. It also has 512Mb QSPI flash memory. Communication and networking is provided by ×2 Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth, CAN, Pmod, 4× USB 3.0, USB to UART Bridge, USB 2.0 OTG, JTAG USB, SATA, QSFP+ and PCIe x1 GEN3/4 connections. Multimedia interfaces are provided via DisplayPort and HDMI IN/OUT. To expand the peripherals, 2× FMC VITA 57.1-2010 compliant are available on the board. This allows additional devices to be connected as FMC daughter cards provided by Aldec and other vendors.
